A few random photos from Abo Canyon located between Belen and Clovis, NM.

1. ATSF SD45 5408 leads a westbound on bridge 871.5 in the eastern end of the canyon in 1986.

2. ATSF SF30C 9562 leads a eastbound upgrade across bridge 871.7 in 1994.

3. ATSF SF30C leads a eastbound out of Abo Canyon in 1991.

4. A eastbound doublestack behind a trio of SD40-2's works upgrade across bridge 874.2.

5 A westbound crosses bridge 873.8 behind snoot SD40-2 5117.

6. The westbound Q-NYLA drops downgrade at sunset at MP 874.

Wow, it's double tracked? That must've been some undertaking in that terrain. Is the whole Clovis subdivision double tracked now?

Still single across the Pecos River at Ft. Sumner and from Vaughn west across the ex-SP to Carnero.

Love the photo, but I believe those are on spine cars. If you look close you can see a shadow under where the wheel platform is constructed.
