Here is a real oldtime photo of some famous individuals aboard a relic from the days of the Central Pacific and later, from a "branch" of the Western Pacific far away.

Can you name the location where this was taken, who the car belonged to, where it came from and WHO the "famous individuals" are, shown in the photo ??

Watch out for Stash or Evan Werkema.. They're sneaky!!

Ya got me stumped, Ken. I think I recognize a couple folks, but I'm not sure. And the location and your clue has me baffled.

That's Deep Creek combine 1, isn't it?

When and where was this taken. I thought that car was scrapped in Wendover.....

Here was my basic question again:
"Can you name the location where this was taken, who the car belonged to, where it came from and WHO the "famous individuals" are, shown in the photo ?? "

My answer, in that order:
1. Sacramento Northern's "59th Street Yard" (near Chabot Road) in Rockridge District, Oakland..

2. Owned by "Golden State Transportation Historical Society" (GSTHS)

3. Only passenger car (combine) owned by Deep Creek Railroad--Wendover, Utah.

4. Mr. & Mrs. Ralph Demoro with "Baby Harre" .. Bikll Larkins at far right of photo.

Okay, I was totally wrong on the people (and if pushed, I would have guessed Oroville).

But that's the Deep Creek combine. Wow. What happened to it? I guess it is no longer around, correct?

Don't know "Z"-- but someone like Dudley Westler in Piedmont might know OR else that 85+ year old
"Fred Fellow" (FF) who contributes now and then.
