BN #2600 @ Memphis, TN 10/82 by Steve Forrest

Built as SLSF GP38AC 660 and rebuilt after being wrecked to this beauty. In 1989 it got 're-cabbed' and renumbered 2136.

Ok, I'll be the 1st:

I suppose all the cab info inside, including the speed recorder, amp meter, gauges & so forth are all in braille?

Nice to see that one again. This unit was assigned to the #466 local in Tulsa quite a bit.

It was a "drone" controlled by engineers located in a safe bunker deep in the Nevada (Missouri) desert. Unfortunately, each move required presidential approval and the program was discontinued as not being cost effective.

Unconfirmed rumours stated the unit had a long white stick protruding from the front of the unit. This was later proved false.
