Santa Fe Switchers

Here are several photos of ATSF 2301 taken at a grain storage facility in Plainview Tx in 1961.

Photograper unknown,

I believe it is an HH600 model.

Last, but not least, is a photo of ATSF 463, a GE 44-tonner also at Plainview Tx. in 1961.

I photographed the same 2 units on 11/19/74 and have seen references that the 2301 went there in 10/64 and the 463 went there in 6/64

Given that 2301 displays no ATSF identification, I'm wondering if it had been sold to a local business, perhaps an elevator?

Valmont,

Do we have any views of the other units on either side ATSF 463 at Plainview, the Rusty and the Blue ones?

The GE 70 Tonner with 'cowcatcher' pilot is a classic!

Nice shots of the 2301. It is preserved, along with several other pieces, at the Temple Railroad & Heritage Museum in Temple Texas. See it here: http://www.rrhm.org/exhibits/rolling-stock/
