I'm sure someone can help ....

Checked Historic Aerials to figure this out, and now see how this route connected to downtown Minneapolis. A lot has changed! Love the photo.

Vince, Rob is correct. The vantage point is the St. Anthony Parkway Bridge, still a good spot to shoot, witness MILW86A's shot. This was the route of the "North Coast Limited" and the "Mainstreeter" in pre-Amtrak days. This train would be the short-lived Twin Cities-Duluth train, state sponsored. I'll be posting some some in the future.
