Warbonnet Wednesday.... 5 of a kind on the 199

Here is another example of neat trains from a mediocre video camera. These 3 scenes were filmed in the fall of 1991.

Scene 1 5 ATSF 500's elephant style lead the 199 west at Gateley.

Scene 2 The same train departs North Bay after a UPS set out, and heads for Richmond.

Scene 3 a few weeks later, 5 ATSF 100's lead the 199 through Pinole and across Pinole Creek.

Awesome! Before JB Hunt flooded ATSF/BNSF pig trains, there was Martrac, Transamerica, and all the UPS trailers. My favorite era for Santa Fe in California.
