Albuquerque - Isleta Isleta - Dalies Also (if there was any) speed restriction on the curve at Isleta: http://cregory.net/ATSF/19500000-1952TC/05/05-079.html (M.P. 915.0 of what became the Glorieta Sub, or M.P. 12.6 of the what became the Gallup Sub.) Last but not least, can you give me the names of the "Districts" involved from Albuquerque to and including Dalies Junction? Thank you for your help in advance, Bob ATSF100WEST......Out Date: 12/01/13 21:49 Re: Got a '67 Santa Fe "Albuquerque Division" ETT handy Author: miralomarail Have a #12 Dated June 8th 1969 will that work ?

Albuquerque to and including Dallies is part of the First District which extends to Gallup, NM Belen, NM to Dalies is the Belen District Max Passenger Speed 79 MPH Freight 60 MPH Date: 12/02/13 14:35 Re: Isleta Author: timz2 Note the westward 75-mph speed board on the
track chart approaching Isleta. Presumably that was for trains heading to Dalies? Date: 12/02/13 15:19 Re: Isleta Author: ATSF100WEST timz2 Wrote:

That track chart was from 1952 (note the signals were semaphores). ETT's show the curve at Isleta Junction (Milepost 914.9, Coast Line Trains only) speed limits for Passenger 70, Freights 55. Thank you one and all for your kind help! Bob ATSF100WEST......Out Date: 12/02/13 19:00 Re: Isleta Author: timz2 Turns out Isleta was 75 mph until about 1957,
then 70 until the 1970s -- presumably until all the SFe curves got reduced circa 1977. The curve just west of Isleta https://maps.google.com/?ll=34.898176,-106.708805&spn=0.005121,0.006968&t=k&z=18 seems to be the limiting factor. |
