'Crossing the T' at Dotsero, CO

These 3 shots at Dotsero, CO show the eb Rio Grande Zephyr after coming out of Glenwood Canyon and continuing on its trek to Denver. In the meantime a wb D&RGW freight, coming off the Tennessee Pass line waits, and then after the RGZ clears, it continues west, 'crossing the T'. All 3 taken by Bruce Black on 8/11/74.

Conductors and brakemen on the Rio Grande RR operated passenger train The Rio Grande Zephyr were based out of Denver and Grande junction, CO. and worked between these two terminals. Grand junction based passenger enginemen worked between Grand Junction and Bond, CO.
