Nostalgia & History > Seaboard E unit at Denver - Denver Zephyr ??Date: 04/16/14 21:25 Seaboard E unit at Denver - Denver Zephyr ?? Author: JimBaker Another set of slides from the Pacific Railroad Society Museum in San Dimas, CA.
This is from the Elbert Gann Collection. Is this E-unit the same one that was painted up as Atlantic Coast Line and lived at Denver for a time? I cannot find anything through the search function. Do you think the Eastern board would like this? Details, dates, please! --Jim Baker Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 04/16/14 21:46 by JimBaker. Whenever I see this engine I think of the painting by Robert West entitled "Black Thunder". Several years ago I met him and bought an autographed copy of this portrait, as well as his painting of "Burlington Thunder". Whenever I see the 501 I think of the black because of that. I can't get use to the purple. http://fineartamerica.com/featured/black-thunder-robert-west.html Traingeek087 Date: 04/17/14 07:30 Re: Seaboard E unit at Denver - Denver Zephyr ??
