Arizona Warbonnet Wednesday

#1. B40-8W 516 east heads downhill with a stack train on the Transcon at Pica, AZ on February 18, 1995.

#2. C44-9W 644 enters the Mountain Time zone, crossing the Colorado River at Topock, AZ on February 24, 1996. Train is the VLACH (Vehicle-LA to Chicago) with BN 7304, Conrail 557 and former Santa Fe, now MKCX 5953 in tow.

#3. C40-8W 839 eastbound with the QLANY (Quality- LA to New York) near Audley, AZ on June 18, 1994.

All three are great shots. However, I do agree with goneon66; that is not Pica.

Great views! What an interesting consist in #2 and all of the engines are facing forward!

I took this picture about 1 to 1.5 miles west of Pica. I say Pica because it's the closest station to this location. It's coming down from Yampai.
