Chinese Red n Gray
Author: throttle8

The distinctive red/gray scheme of the Burlington Lines family was always a treat to photograph. Will share with you a couple of examples from yesteryear.

C&S SD-7 #810 was taken at North Ft Worth on Nov 11, 1973 at the FW&D engine facility.
FW&D NW-2 #605 was taken at Amarillo TX on 9-30-1972. To my knowledge, this was the only switcher to wear the red scheme.

Have a great holiday weekend.

Beautiful. This is a great addition to the bounty of Burlington we've seen lately. It's making me more of a Q fan than I ever was.

I was wondering if any Q switchers were painted in red. Thanks for posting the photo.

Enjoy your holiday as well.

Those louvers sure get in the way of the lettering on the long hood

If your date is correct there's no sign of BN tampering on #605 yet either...
