sti,

#1 3608 is a SD-45, there is an EMD switcher in the background.
#2 3641 is a SD-45M, these were built on SDP-45 frames with larger fuel tanks. Behind is 3625 another SD-45.

Nice photos.

J.

missing E8 aside pretty cool and rare shots while the Chenango bridge was being replaced. Quite possible the E8 is mu'd with 3625 in the tail track.

You will note that it is "E" number 360"8". Is that close enough?

Sorry, I don't by it. His post title is "Erie-Lackawanna E-8", and there is no "E" type unit in any of the photos. Now, correctly stated an, EMC/EMD model designation doesn't have any "dashes" in the model name, i.e. it correctly is model E8, and NOT E-8!
