For the last few weeks I have been posting my photographs of the Alaska Railroad taken in 2009. These are last posting, and are of the ARR MACs, which are still today the biggest power on the road.

1. 4317 in the Anchorage Yard on May 20.

2. 4321 with the Aurora Winter Train approaching Talkeetna on May 9.

3. 4324 with the Glacier Discovery at Whittier on August 22.

4. July 13, 2009 saw the SB Denali Star at the town of Hurricane, AK. MACs 4338 and 4313 provided the traction power and the HEP for the ARR cars. The cruise ship cars on the rear were self contained.

5. A few seconds the Star passed the Huricane Turn in the hole.
