one for TOTO Tuesday . . .

. . not many KYLE units got this paint job but fifteen years ago this pair of KYLE units were sitting in Stockton, KS at the end of the branch after spotting eight empty hoppers for loading at a nearby elevator. The branch was very lite rail and in pretty bad shape and didn't last many more years with the one elevator being the only customer.

Good stuff, JB. As of April '12 KYLE 1550 in that same paint scheme was switching the Scoular elevator on Country Club Rd in SE Salina. I haven't been by there lately, though...

Nice scheme. I always liked to see those as it did give a corporate "brand" to Kyle, but like you stated, so many more just never made it to the paint booth.
