EMD must have made them one sweet deal, as they also bought the original GP40 demo, 433A. The 4351 had spent many, many hours on the IC over the years prior to being sold by EMD.
Great shot V! KC Date: 08/29/14 17:11 Re: A lone flare .... Author: Rathole Vince, that's at Memphis. I shot that unit a few times but that particular one is not mine. I believe it might be a Terry Foshee slide.

------------------------------------------------------- > Wasn't that #433A an SD40 demo? 433A was the lone GP40 test bed and became IC 3075. The SD40 test beds (SD40X) were 434 and 434A through 434H. 434 became GM&O 950 and then ICG at the merger. 434A through 434H went to UP as 3040 through 3047. SF: Thanks for the info, certainly more than I had .... and here's 433A @ Chicago on July 16, 1966 by Karl Henkels Date: 08/30/14 14:01 Re: A lone flare .... Author: EL3600 I notice that the horns were located to the rear over the long hood. They must have been pretty loud over the short hood.
