Nostalgia & History > GN Had U-boats TooDate: 09/02/14 17:49 GN Had U-boats Too Author: MartyBernard GN had 45 U-boats: 24 U25Bs, 6 U28Bs, and 15 U33Cs. Here are a pair of U25Bs captured at Minneapolis Junction on June 8, 1964. Both were built in April of 1964 and sold to Precision National Corp in June of 1981. By then 2505 became BN 5405 while 2506 became BN 5406. Note the Alco trucks from GN RS2s and 3s.
Enjoy, Marty Bernard Date: 09/02/14 19:29 Re: GN Had U-boats Too Author: stevelv From my memory and seeing a few in person around Chicago when I was a kid, the U33C's were delivered in the sky blue scheme. Am I correct here or was there ever a U33C in GN orange?

They are much appreciated. Nick Tharalson, Marion, IA Date: 09/02/14 20:11 Re: GN Had U-boats Too Author: ironmtn Really nice roster shots of relatively unremarked units. Thanks.
