The 1941 mystery film, "Sleepers West" is currently available for free in the extended On Demand channel on the Time Warner cable system (select the last box as you scan across the free movies, then go down a few pages). Most of the movie was made on board "The Comanche" with numerous shots of the ATSF 1346 steam locomotive. Lots of great steam chime whistle throughout the film.

It's a light film with minimal violence, the worst being on board the locomotive in a crossing accident scene. Now I am wondering what other railroad type films are available on their long list...
