More classic UP on Cajon

Another duplicate slide with another look back at days gone by. Here a solid set of SD24's roll west at Blue Cut with a manifest train. Some of the loads on the head-end are truck-trailer flatbeds with coil steel loads. Also, it looks like Interstate 15 was under construction.

8-lane I-15... completed maybe 1969-70?

Interesting that the lead unit shows 1-419 in the train indicators. As I recall, Santa Fe Special Instructions specified that the engine number would be shown in the indicators when on the Santa Fe. This one must've gotten by Daggett without changing the indicators.

No reason for it to show 1-419 east of Daggett,
so it's probably not 1-419 in the pic.
