Nostalgia & History > Northern Pacific GP9s With F9s and a RS11Date: 09/14/14 21:41 Northern Pacific GP9s With F9s and a RS11 Author: MartyBernard 1. NP GP9 245 working F9A 6700C and sisters at SPUD (far right) on June 3, 1964. This geep was built February 1954 and became BN 1879. 6700C was built in February 1954 and became BN 772. She was retired in July 1982 and was traded to GE for a B30-7AB.
2. I found NP GP9 326 and RS11 917 in Duluth on August 22, 1966. The GP9 was built in 1957 and became BN 1911, then 602, then BNSF 1702. The RS11 was built in June 1960 and became BN 4197, and then DOWX 1005. 3. Here are two GP9s in Minneapolis Northtown Yard on June 6, 1964. The SOO Line bridge is still there and CP red diesels pull trains over it. There is nothing intermodal about this yard in 1964. As for the Geep 9s, NP 372 was built in September 1958 and became BN 1951 while older NP 264 was built in July 1956 and became BN 1817. I hope you have enjoyed these, Marty Bernard Edited 4 time(s). Duluth. They operated there on trackage rights on the NP if I recall correctly. Thanks again for sharing your substantial photographic treasures with us.... Date: 09/15/14 07:37 Re: Northern Pacific GP9s With F9s and a RS11 Author: Chico43 Notch16 Wrote:
