Nostalgia & History > New Northern Pacific U25Cs Being DeliveredDate: 09/15/14 17:03 New Northern Pacific U25Cs Being Delivered Author: MartyBernard On June 20, 1964 I caught up with NP U25C 2508 being delivered by the CB&Q at Dayton's Bluff Yard in St. Paul, MN. Nine days later I caught 2509 there. They were built in June 1964, became BN 5608 and 5609 respectively, and were retired in March 1981.

These also got air cooler piping and openings in the roof that corresponded to the receiver tank location.
