Cartier Alco + misc. 1970's western US
Author: halfmoonharold

I decided to get all the Biermacher slides out of the cardboard boxes since they were getting warped. By chance, I started with mostly western subjects. The mounts say these are Ektachromes, surprising since the color held up so well over the last 40 years.

Nice variety. That UP #450 is an SD7 which is very rare. I think UP only rostered 10 of them.

These are really nice. Back when all the road's units were kept a little cleaner than what they later came to be. Thanks for showing all the variety.

As these show, properly stored Ektachromes can retain their color quite nicely. I really like Cotton Belt 9064 in the snow.
