Nostalgia & History > Glad I Didn't Throw This One Out, FRISCO FreightDate: 09/28/14 20:18 Glad I Didn't Throw This One Out, FRISCO Freight Author: MartyBernard Can't read the locomotive numbers. It's April 1968 but don't know the day. The exposure was off as was the color and focus BUT it's a F7A/GP7-/F7A lash-up! Sure glad I didn't throw this one out.

JB Date: 09/29/14 06:28 Re: Glad I Didn't Throw This One Out, FRISCO Freight Author: ctillnc Frisco management bucked the trend by adopting a colorful scheme for freight locomotives in the 1960s. This brought color to the southeast at a time when Southern black, ACL/SCL black, and L&N gray had become dominant. By virtue of the Frisco/SCL run-throughs that continued into the early 1980s, Frisco red-and-white was often seen in Georgia, the Carolinas, and Virginia.
