Strange Bedfellows!

SF MUNI 178 poses for its mug shot with Sacramento Northern steeple cab 653 at Yuba City CA on May 3, 1959. According to Pullman here on TO, the MUNI car was brought to the SN on a flatcar for this day's excursion. (Photographer unknown, Aaron Barkl collection).

I'd like more info on this excursion if any of you can add more details. I posted a different photo of the 178 on this trip back on May 5, 2014. Thanks

Here is a shot of SN 653 from last Saturday at OERM in Perris. The "company" is a little different, but hey, there's some green and yellow there.
