Where Is It? 1965
Author: Labby

Here is yet another, "Where Is It ?" Took the shot as a teenager with a cheap camera and grainy film, but today it shows operations from the past and admittedly there are things here forgotten about. The quest is for the name of the location on the C&O, not the city name, but that's OK of course. C&O diesel fuel trucks, now there's something for you.

Excuse my delay,: fell asleep with a bad cold.

Thanks for the information on the fuel truck!

The location is Michigan, but not Dearborn.

This location is very near a branch line that is now a well known narrow gauge steam line. Yes, the Huckleberry. The south end of this yard connected to the Buick Railroad. The official name was McGrew. The engine house was located just off Dort Highway north of Flint, MI. The City of Flint ordered the Pere Marquette out of downtown Flint with their freight traffic and so, the PM built the Flint Connecting Railway which joined the original main, on the north end, just south of this location.

The reason for the photos were the GP30s in town.

Doubt very many out of town folks visited this location at this time.
