I do not know where I found the builder's photo of 1236 and the purchased slide (second photo) has only the this information: N&W 1232, Columbus, OH.

It's been many years since I thought about N&W steam. Didn't the railroad build most of their steamers, these included?

I have all of O. Winston Link's N&W steam RR recordings. That 2nd photo sounds like one his recordings--just pure N&W power! That 2nd photo just displays pure, raw steam power. Man, how I wish I could have been there!!!

those "Class A" engines are just the best articulateds every built.
