Nostalgia & History > Modesto & Empire Traction Company QuestionDate: 03/26/15 19:03 Modesto & Empire Traction Company Question Author: miralomarail After looking at a few rosters for the Modesto & Empire Traction Company, can someone tell me which 2 SMV ( Santa Maria Valley ) units went to the M&ET ? And did they get rebuilt or stripped for parts ?

Saved on the shop wall are the original horns from 600 and 602. All the numbers except 600 and the nose / bell from the 609. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 03/27/15 22:37 by ATSFlocal73-74. The M&ET hung on to the 600 intact when all the rest were shipped out, right? What does the company plan to do with the 600? The Diesel motor is in good condition so hopefully someday it will make a run or two. Time will tell.
