1) SD-40s power an empty Pope's Creek coal train at Edgewood, MD on the NEC northbound on 7-28-84
2) B23-7 2753 is operating long-nose first on a southbound coal trn
3) NB Conrail manifest passes the Edgewood Tower

4) GP-38s leads Conrail freight
5) AEM-7 s were relatively new in 1984 and powered most all passenger trains
6) AEM-7 #920 leads the northbound Meteor

i don't know about Edgewood ... the only locations on the NEC that have 2 tracks are south of Landover,Md and between Perryville and Northeast,Md ... love the photos tho

I was wondering the same thing. How far on either side of Gunpow does the double track extend? Ben

Heading Northbound it cdhanges from 2 to 4 tracks a little South of
MD Route 152. This aerial view shows the 2 signal signal bridge that
was near Edgewood tower.
