Norden, Number One track

SP train heading Westbound both timetable and compass direction just
east of the Norden - interlocking switches on upper--Donner Pass in California.
Very very CLASSIC and historic photo of the glory days of western US Railroading.

It's shame that a derailment on the #2 track would later wipe out that snowshed. It was unique because it was the last surviving wooden shed that spanned 3 tracks.

True on the west end, but the east end had 3 tracks and a x-over too.
