1) Amtrak 900, the first AEM7, which was destroyed in the Chase, MD (Gunpow) wreck on January 4th, 1987
2) Amtrak P30CH running southbound as train 953 at RO. Amtrak trains 952 and 953 are the Lorton to Washington equipment moves that service the Auto Train.
3)  Northbound Amtrak train at Bowie on No.1 track. I'm thinking the Montrealer.
4) Southbound Conrail coal train at Bowie back when coal came south through the B&P tunnel in Baltimore. Coal now comes north from Bennings.
5) Southbound Chessie freight at RO. Take in 85 or later as 1985 is when Conrail began pulling down the old PRR catenary.

The Bowie shots bring back memories as I was on the Baltimore division extra list and frequently worked Bowie tower. The tower lives on today as the Bowie railroad musuem.

were there ever any incidents where the operator that controlled RO had a braiinfart and routed an electric motor onto a track that wasn't electrified ...

That happened enough on the corridor, never mind the RF&P ....

RF&P was an  early adapter of CTC and RO Tower was long closed by the time I started to have an interest ing railroading.
