These are from Rick Burn's slides.

1. CNW GP7 1649 with Madison-Fennimore way freight at Johnson St., Madison, WI in November 1966. Built in May 1953.

2. CNW GP18 1777 at Madison, WI in July 1967.  Built in March 1960 and slod for scrap in June 1985.   

3. MILW GP9 304 at LaCrosse, WI in June 1967.  Built in May 1959.

Here is a pair of UP geeps, GP9's, numbers 162/163 pointed eastbound and ready to depart in Cheyenne yard on the Yoder local. The year is 1976.

Thanks Bob for adding these two UP GP9s built in March of 1954 to the thread.  I fixed up your photo.  The pink tint makes me think the original was an aged Ektachrome.

I believe the caption for the first photo should read "Madison to Fennimore" as the train route.
