While waiting to board the MV Mt Washington for a day's cruise on the Lake, I recall seeing two trains: a Canadian Pacific E-8 and train (possibly the Alouette) going from Boston to Montreal and then, a short time later, a southbound Boston & Maine gas-electric. No camera in those days, only the memories.

I took a great railfan excursion up there in the 70's put on by the Mystic Valley Railway Society if I remember correctly. One train of RDC's from Boston went to Wolfeboro, the other to Weirs Beach. We rode the M/V Mount Washington across the lake to transfer to the other train and return to Boston. A great day!
