Nostalgia & History > The SW Limited again, a looong time agoDate: 08/04/15 10:08 The SW Limited again, a looong time ago Author: santafe199 Back in January I posted another of my ‘Lone Star Nights’ series. The two shots were actually of Amtrak’s Southwest Limited, train #4 taken in Topeka, KS. I was lamenting the fact I never got the chance to shoot the Lone Star in Topeka before it was murdered. Here’s another shot of that very same train, same night that somehow got left out of the mix.
(I tell ya, that dern secretary of mine… ;^) 1. AMTK 521 on train #4, the Southwest Limited at Topeka, KS on January 5, 1980. Thanks for looking back [again]! I am a big fan of using existing light for night shots where possible - this is what night should look like, not daytime with a black sky!
Wonderful image! ~RGDave Date: 08/04/15 15:06 Re: The SW Limited again, a looong time ago Author: texchief1 Nice shot, Lance!
