Seeing what is there now, so hard to think of open fields with wood slat crates and cabbage, not so long ago...

Nice to see these views of a area I used to know pretty well. My how it has all changed. I still kick myself for not taking more photos of this line, and especially that caboose regularly assigned to the local.

So it was a caboose. It didn't carry any express or passengers?

The Pacific Locomotive Association obtained the shorty baggage pictured from CSRM several years ago in burned up condition. We recently donated it to the Roots of Motive
Power folks in Willits, California.

I remember it as a regular fixture in South San Francisco during weekends when the local was not operating.
