UP951West wants to see more 620 photos. So, here's a thread where you can post some if you have them.  I'll start with the National Limited in Takoma Park, DC, a DC transit streetcar, and the E units of the George Washington in Washington DC Union Station.  all 1959-1960.

The C&O units are on Track 21, back before Amtrak lifted the track and the platform for Tracks 21/22 was still used for staging diesels and for short trains to and from the South. The platform remains but it doesn't have access to the concourse. Track 22 is used only for staging diesels for southbound trains or as an alley for electric motors off of arriving inbound trains. Washington Terminal is crowded enough that it could stand having the platform back in service.

More 620 observations....all in Washington DC, on the upper level.  The Capitol Limited, the Columbian, with the usual streamlined observation missing, perhaps in the shops, and one unusual. Most times the trhrough trains from the South detrained passengers on the lower level through tracks. Today in 1960 found the Seaboard's Silver Meteror northbound had backed in to the Upper level.  I was on a train that did that only once: Southern's Tennessean once backed in after pulling thorugh the station.
