It HAD to be a 20, because up to that point I had been used to seeing ATSF GP-7s only around Abilene, KS. And the hood parts were identical to my young eyes. I remember at my wise old age of 7 asking a Santa Fe crewman if that (GP-20 with the chopped down nose) wasn't one of the new atomic-powered engines "they" were talking about. Even when I got older I never could figure out just who THEY were. Probably some dialog my young ears picked up from TV... ;^)
