That's one that shouldn't have gotten away. Seems like scraped it after Dick Jensen wouldn't pay the storage charges.  I remember there was a picture of it being scrapped in Trains and one person suggested it be dismantled in place rather than scraped.

So true , this is one that truly got away,  a lot of the Heavy USRA type fans here are still nashing their teeth over this one. Sad.

You can't see much of it, but of interest, the building behind the 5629 is New York Central " HF " Tower.  It was a pistol grip plant and the operator's desk was where the bay window brickwork is obvious in the photo.  The tower was just a few car lengths west of South Bend Union Station.  I never saw the GTW 5629 in action so do appreciate the photo.
