Pick a Paint Scheme

Early CSX often had a rainbow of paint schemes as locomotives with various paint schemes from different railroads were lashed up for any given train. Here is eastbound C&O 4071 at the head of a five-unit lashup heading through Akron, Ohio on 03/14/1987. This was "heritage" before the word became common.

Great photo Bob! I can't believe those 2 C&O GP7's were still "Pulling for CSX" (to paraphrase the SCL slogan) in 1987!

Yes, those are the former PRR tracks from Hudson to Akron on the right side of the photo.
