A consist like this was involved in a collision/derailment with a truck load of hay bales back in the 60's at Bassett just East of the 605 FWY.  Many units including Rock Island E's turned over.

Judging from the angle of the shadows and the fact that there are no cars I would say that these engines brought the
westward combined Sunset Golden State, No. 3 to LAUPT and are in the process of returning to Taylor roundhouse via
UP's Pasadena Jct.

You are right on Charlie. It appears that them backed out of LAUPT and crossed the LA River on the single track bridge that the UP used to reach the depot. The power is now heading to Taylor on the east bank, crossing the SP lines into LAUPT and the BullRing Yard.
