Some Museum Pieces
Author: MartyBernard

Roger Puta visited several Railway Museums in the U.S.  Here are three of his photos.  More to come.

1. CTA all wood "L" car 1797 at the Illinois Railway Museum, North Chicago, IL on August 25, 1962..

2. Fox River & Eastern Elecric Railway line car 11 at the Fox River Trolley Museum (when it was brand new and called RELIC), South Elgin, IL in July 1966.

3. Nevada Northern Business Car "Ely" #10 at the Illinois Railway Museum, North Chicago, IL on August 25, 1962.

Enjoy,
Marty Bernard

Nice! Thanks for sharing!

Just to bring it to current, here's 1797 in May, 2014 in service at IRM, and sister 1268 in August, 2010.

That's what our railway museums do.  Bring back artifacts to near mint condition and use them to teach.  Riding in 1797 or any of hundreds restored rail vehicles across the country at our musums is pure teaching and learning.  Well there is some playing with trains involved.
