A trip to Dallas in September, 2000 gave me my first look at TRE's RDCs.

I have always been a lover of Budd RDC in any configuration and it makes me feel really good to see that some railroads cherish these wonderful cars and continue to keep using them.
I use to live a short distance from the old Red Lion Budd plant where the RDC was developed and built back in the 1950's Although the Red Lion plant is now a golf course, I can still look around (including Canada) and see those wonderful passenger trains being used as they were originally designed. I'm sure Edward Budd would be proud to see his trains still running after almost seventy years.
