Nostalgia & History > Dunsmuir in 1959Date: 04/19/16 21:05 Dunsmuir in 1959 Author: photobob The Dunsmuir I like to remember. On one of my first trips to Dunsmuir with my Dad in 1959. We rode up on the Shasta Daylight from Oakland and returned on the Cascade. Its hard to believe I've lived up here for over twenty five years already. It was the best move I ever made. It might not look the same anymore but it is still a magic place.

Even the locomotive 1727 looked good in 1965. Hey, maybe I'll retire there. Screw the Bay Area madness.
