Reading RR EMD F units
Author: NS4271

1. EMD F  units on Reading RR train NH-2 just north of Hamburg, PA. where the Reading RR ducks under the PRR Schuylkill Branch as seen in Photo 2.  This photo, #1, taken July of 1960, is the very first color slide I ever took.  I had taken some b&w photos prior to this.

2. Rear of the NH-2 train with a red thing numbered 94006 on the rear.  Bridge ahead is PRR Schuylkill Branch.

3. Reading RR EMD FT number 252 on train #194 coming up the single track from Belt Line Jct. to Blandon, which is the photo location.

The newer generation of railfans will refer to the end of a freight train as that "red thing"

Looking back fifty six years is great.  We do not see an FT photos on TO very often.  Thanks.

Thanks for these posts. Blandon don't look like that anymore, only one switch where the two track NS Reading Line becomes single track and the bridge in photo 2 is a hiking biking trail today over the R&N single track mainline.
