Nostalgia & History > Locartion Help Needed

Roger Puta never got around to labeling these slides.  Any help with filling out the captions would be appreciated. He stamped the date on some and the rest are the processor's date.

1.  UP DDA40X 6910, SD40-2 3244, and SD40-2 3566 approaching Portola, CA (I think) in August 1984.

2.  UP SD40-2 3500, C30-7 2516, and unknown, CA on July 14, 1988.

3. and 4.  UP SD40-2 3563, WP GP40 3519, and WP GP40-2 3553 unknown locations, October 1982

5. and 6. UP SD40-2 3649 unknown locations, October 1984

Third photo is Portola, CA

BN cars and light rail in #4 suggest the High Line to Bieber.   BSB

If the last few shots are a look at the summer months in  FEATHER RIVER area, its no wonder you get them big fire.
is there a fault line that can be seen from the air or just  a few places with no level ground etc

#2 is also Portola (east of town) and after a closer look, I think #4 is just down the road a piece from my house, between Arlington Road and "downtown" Crescent Mills.

#5 looks to be the east end (north) of Greenville on the highline.
