Nostalgia & History > Stanley Yard (OH) questionDate: 05/29/16 09:08 Stanley Yard (OH) question Author: florida581 Does anyone know what date (or at least year) that Stanley Yard's automated retarders were installed? I read that the Toledo & Ohio Central equipped the yard with a rider hump in the 1930's. It was then said that the automated retarders were installed at a later time, but didn't give a specific date.
Stanley Yard is CSX's current hump yard on the south side of Toledo, OH. The yard was built by the T&OC and then became part of the New York Central. Andrew Edited 1 time(s).
