Nostalgia & History > Switcher Saturday - EvolutionDate: 08/27/16 08:12 Switcher Saturday - Evolution Author: ntharalson In the late 70's, the then ICG started a massive rebuild program for their switch engines, dubbing
the finished product an "SW14" When the program started, the engines were painted in the then orange and white scheme. It didn't finish that way. #1 - Waterloo, IA - 1981. #2 - Dubuque, IA - February 1981 #3 - Waterloo, IA - 1981. This scheme was nice when new, but did NOT wear well. I'm sorry about the vagueness of the dates. I didn't keep good notes in those days. Hey I can remember all that stuff!! Bob Date: 08/27/16 09:06 Re: Switcher Saturday - Evolution Author: cabman Nice pictures, Nick. Who cares about the exact date as long as you have the month and year. In picture 1 did someone in the paint shop have dislexia? The 1's are wild!
