ID Help please - ex Reading RDC's
Author: johnmday

This photo surfaced - in a bus group, as it includes a delectable Scenicruiser.  The RDC's are Readings - but we surmise ex-Reading.   The letterboard on the RDC-1 appears to have the word "Mountain" on it.  Any clues as to location, railroad, date - and what the bus was doing there would be appreciated.

They are now Blue Mountain & Reading RR owned.  I suspect this shot is from a 1993 trip based on this You Tube film.

9166 RDC-3  EX B&N 6305, RDG 9166, Septa 9166

9168 RDC=1 ( could have been converted over to 1 from 3)  NYC M499, Septa (Penndot owned) 9168
location not idea!

Reading Blue Mountain and Northern are the RDC's.  Could have been a fan trip one way by rail back by bus or vice versa.  Location could possibly be Port Clinton, PA.

I agree the location seems to be Port Clinton.  Looks like a typo above: suspect former unit was B&M as in Boston & Maine.

You can see the former Pennsy right of way to Pottsville PA above the roof lines of the RDC's.

The location IS Port Clinton, Pa. before it became the R&N's world headquarters and cast iron sign museum.
