Nostalgia & History > Friday F: OK, FPAs this weekDate: 09/23/16 06:05 Friday F: OK, FPAs this week Author: march_hare 2 shots of Canadian FPA4s for your enjoyment:
First, VIA's eastbound Chaleur making a station stop at Chandler, Quebec on its way down the Gaspe peninsula. May of 1987. At the time, this was one of the best Alco chases on the continent. Shame to see this train (and this line) go to hell in subsequent years. Second, a Canadian transplant in California. Napa Valley Whine Train passing an expression of community support, summer of 1990. One of the best paint shcemes I've ever seen.
