Does Anyone Remember the British Columbia Railway ? The Finale
Author: YukonYeti

This will be the final installment of the three  part PGE/British Coiumbia Railway/BC Rail Series..
In this last group are the red, white & blue colours with their variations and the few odd ball paint jobs

Hope you enjoyed the look back.

Time to head back to the cave, under the glacier because "it's all CN now."

Gentlemens, that is it for now...  The cold winds are beginning to come out of the north..  Time to consider hibernation

Thanks for looking....

You went out of your way to cover the PGE and BCR in these series installments. Even though I was there for three days in 1974, I never realized the depth of ther roster and the multitude of their paint schemes. I was more interested in the Royal Hudson.
Thank you for sharing these.
Bob
P.S.What was the reason for BCR 1700 having that beautiful paint scheme?

Wow ! This is a most impressive showing.  Even some B units--had no idea.  Myself as well, I didn't realize BCR had so many models in the fleet over the years and they are very clean too.
First time I had ever noticed the units are labeled  FR  and   FL  on the lead sill.
The 1700 has got to be the absolute best B39-8 one will ever see.  Thanks for showing these.

Cab windows on a cabless unit, a special touch. Wide cab ALCO's too, wonder what the desktop controls looked like on those ?

1700 was repainted for the northwinds explorer cruise train offered by BC

Absolutely incredible selection, I wasn't even aware of the much of the GE Dash 7 collection and to
think one could have started over on these shots down in Mexico.
