UP 3985 Drew the Crowds, 11 Years Ago

September 19, 2005.  3985 had just arrived in Salem, Oregon.  Not all of these folks were railfans.  This awesome locomotive always brought out the crowds.  Will we ever witness her running again?  BTW, the engineer on this run had initials DLM, and I doubt he needed a route engineer, or whatever those guys are called, familiar with the route.

I can't compete technically with the great photogs here on TO, but I can share my memories.  Does anyone have a pic of Doyle with that "student engineer"  or "engineer in training" shirt that UP provided him?
