Bruce Black, no train, high up in his beloved Montana 1972

As someone mentioned in one of my BB posts, Bruce did more than take train pictures. Here's a roster shot of Bruce sitting on Granite Peak, the highest point in Montana, on August 28, 1972.  I found some variations on the elevation of Granite Peak, but they were all around 12,800.

I have a couple others of Bruce's climbing adventures that I'll post in the future ...

Great to see what a great photographer looked like.  He looks like a very intelligent, focused, and friendly individual.

Bruce was all of those, plus very funny and what anyone would want in a true friend ...

Is this the same Bruce Black who worked for the Santa Fe and then on the UP in the Bay Area in the 1990's?
